The Team That Makes It Possible
Meet the people behind the mission.

Neelu Verma
Founder Chairperson
Mrs. Neelu Verma’s journey into social impact began in the 1980s while she was living in Kolkata and volunteering at an orphanage run by Mother Teresa. Her early experiences with service instilled a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose that continued to shape her path. After moving to Ranchi in 1985, she was inspired to extend the same spirit of care to her new community. Upon noticing that the city had a school for blind boys but no similar institution for girls, she was moved to act—and thus, Brajkishore Netraheen Balika Vidyalaya (BNBV) was born. Mrs. Verma envisions a future where these girls are fully integrated into the mainstream, contributing to society with confidence and dignity. She believes that they don’t need sympathy—they need respect, opportunity, and understanding.
